apologies for the blogging hiatus! a new job + less time is not the best recipe for a blogging gig. but it’s truly what makes me happy and gives me my creative outlet. it’s what allows me to meet new people and try new things. it’s what makes the big apple feel smaller & like home. so alas, i’m here, welcome. and i’m here for a great cause! #notsponsored but gifted upon begging my absolute favorite brand ever, six:02. this collection, called *thank you haters*, is all about girl power. in partnership with step up women’s network, they support programming that teaches girls to be strong, vocal leaders. f is for female – we’re here to get up, kick butt & be amazing. peep 2 items i’m wearing from the collection below. obsessed! actually just ordered another piece about 15 minutes ago that i absolutely had to have. shop all items from the collection at the end of this post

big city of dreams // the {brooklyn} shirt
as you probably already know, i’m obsessed with new york city and everything it has to offer. one of my favorite things about the city is that you can explore every single day and stumble upon something new… a new restaurant, an unfamiliar street, a unique view. on this day in soho we stumbled upon an amazing mural from tristan eaton. it took my breath away & the situation could not have been more perfect. coincidentally enough, my top is called “the brooklyn shirt” [my second favorite borough ;)]. & no, i don’t follow the white after labor day rule, not even a little bit.
{neutrals} are always in season
if there’s one thing i’ve learned about style since living in new york, it’s that a black ensemble always works. but now that summer is upon us, it’s all about bright whites. in my opinion, neutrals are always in season. and neutrals can always be paired together. my favorite way to wear monochrome is in different textures. i think a white sweater knit + a sequin woven jogger + a nude patent leather pump creates interest without distracting. this can be done in a variety of ways, but neutrals feel effortless. happy viewing, let me know what you think!
all that glitters // it’s all in the {details}
cutouts. black & white. gold. what’s not to love?! my thoughts exactly. i picked up this crop top & skirt set without even a second thought. it’s from my chic cousin Caroline [who I like to think of as my southern counterpart]’s online boutique. i wore this for holiday festivities, as it worked well layering under tights as is pictured below. but i look forward to also wearing it this spring. i think the crop top would look so fresh n so clean clean with a pair of black jeans, white jeans, or even a flared skirt. peep how i styled the outfit for cold weather weekends, as well as mix & match spring outfit inspo below!
twirl tuesday // a {bold} color becomes a cool accent
on my tippy toes, can you tell i’m ready to twirl?! i’m giving off all sorts of vibes – & my mischievousness can’t be hidden from the camera.
the bold red becomes a cool accent. add the DIY bow belt & I’ve created a fresh take on a classic look. as a New York City kitty, I can’t stress enough how much I love black. black & white is about as classic as it comes. but I have a penchant for adding just enough flair to make an ensemble my own. {sun}day in soho // clothing that is necessary
i spy with my little eye… something silly! to me, sundays are for shopping, selfies, and a lot of spontaneity. [yes, as always, all the alliteration]. on this summery sunday, my little east coast fox & I ventured to soho. we played around at laduree & enjoyed all the quirkiness that the neighborhood has to offer. for me, fashion has to be fun. summer {scarves} // ladies who lunch
not pictured: Isabel Kellman, the lady behind the camera & creator of these beautiful silk scarves. my friend Izzy is a graduate of Indiana University & Parsons School of Design, a fashion designer, a business owner, and a photographer. to say the least, she is a busy little bee. and her latest endeavor is Nicole Isabel Designs. she combined fashion, photography, and customization to create what you see here: one-of-a-kind pieces of art in the form of a silk scarf.
