introducing the adorable & extremely talented Dublin-born violinist, Gregory Harrington, performing at Music for a Cause, benefitting Stand Up To Cancer. a fantastic event put together by fantastic people.
stand up to cancer, stand down to bracelets
it’s not often that I get the opportunity to attend an event as a fashion blogger and feel like I’m making a difference… and yes I mean more than explaining in too much detail “how to stack the perfect arm party”. however, this was one of those magical moments where everyone in the room was focused on one beautiful thing. Gregory shared stories of how cancer has personally affected his life and why the event means so much to him. he opened up about his fears & dreams, letting the audience get to know him on a personal level. but the best part of the night was Gregory’s “Ashokan Farewell”, a touching song about loss & longing, and he dedicated it to all battling or affected by cancer. words cannot describe.
now that my laptop is tear-soaked writing this, let’s move on to some lighter events of the evening. fabulous guests a plenty pictured below
